Working On: Paranormal short story, converting long-hand written material to text now.
Waiting: Still waiting for a response from Nocturne Bites
Lately I've been tinkering around with the thought of turning some of my books into audio books. I've started downloading and listening to them from audible since February, and I don't know how I ever got along without them. My bike ride to work is a lot more productive now since I'm listening to my favorite authors as I'm writing.
Audible was even how I discovered Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series. So far I've listened to them all and am impatiently waiting for the next one, but that's getting off topic.
Things always kept me back from starting the audio book thing, though. I don't have the equipment, don't know how to convert files to mp3, don't even know where to get started etc etc etc. I'm still doing a bit of research, but I found a program that I'd like to test out. Something might come of it, something might not, but I thought I'd just write it down.
And as you've seen above, I'm finally starting to write down my short paranormal, now called: Mate of the Wolf, onto my computer. This is pretty exciting. I keep watching my word count go up, and unless I do some editing and a lot of chopping, it will definitely go over the 15,000 word maximum. Usually my word counts are always lower than what they need to be, so seeing it go so high is pretty exciting for me.
And one more thing I thought I'd announce. I'm mentally planning a short prequel to The Legend. It's an idea I've had floating around in my head for a while. Basically how Westley and Chris met, despite Westley's demanding father, and fell in love.
It would be short, probably novella or less, but I'd like to write it down and post it as something to read until my next book gets written. No idea when that's going to come out though.
